Cabling, cabinets, switching and wireless

Network installations built for the systems that depend on them.

We plan the physical and logical network together—from data outlets and patching to PoE switching, Wi-Fi, segmentation, testing and handover.

The network starts in the building

Reliable technology needs a reliable physical foundation.

Poor patching, undocumented cables, unsuitable cabinet space and access points placed around convenient sockets can undermine otherwise good equipment. We review pathways, outlet positions, power, PoE demand and future change before the installation begins.

The result should be understandable to the people supporting it later. Labelling, test results, cabinet organisation and an accurate record matter as much as making each link work on installation day.

Infrastructure with purpose

Build once, support it properly.

A considered installation reduces faults and makes later changes less disruptive.

01

Right outlet locations

Position data for users, access points, phones, printers, cameras and operational equipment.

02

Power where it is needed

Plan PoE switch capacity for access points and supported devices instead of treating power as an afterthought.

03

Clear cabinet layout

Use appropriate patching, labelling and cable management so faults and changes can be traced.

04

Tested handover

Record installed links and the relevant test information alongside the logical network design.

Projects we support

From one comms cabinet to a complete site.

Every environment is different. We confirm the detail against your people, buildings, applications and responsibilities.

Office fit-out

Plan user desks, meeting rooms, printers, phones, Wi-Fi and flexible working before walls and furniture close options.

Wi-Fi improvement

Provide suitable wired backhaul and PoE to place access points for coverage rather than convenience.

Cabinet remediation

Trace, label and reorganise an inherited cabinet before adding new services or switching.

Site expansion

Extend the network with capacity, uplinks, segmentation and future support in mind.

A controlled installation

Survey, install, prove.

STEP 01

Survey & design

We review spaces, routes, equipment, users, capacity, access constraints and future change.

STEP 02

Install & configure

Cabling, cabinets, switching and wireless are coordinated around the approved design.

STEP 03

Test & hand over

Links and services are checked, labelled and documented for the people supporting the site.

Questions, answered

What organisations usually ask us.

We will always confirm product compatibility, licensing and scope against the current environment.

Do you install Cat6 and fibre cabling?

We specify copper or fibre according to distance, environment, bandwidth, containment and future needs. The correct category and construction are confirmed during survey.

Can cabling and Wi-Fi be planned together?

Yes—and they should be. Access-point placement determines outlet and PoE requirements, while the building and expected client density influence the wireless design.

Can you tidy an existing network cabinet?

Yes. We first identify services and risks, because removing or moving an unknown patch lead can interrupt phones, internet, cameras or business systems.

Will we receive documentation?

The agreed handover can include labelling records, test information, cabinet and switch details, and the relevant logical network documentation.
